The City of London has a long established policy of protectingproviding Open Spaces in and around London for the enjoyment of the public.  Hampstead Heath, Highgate Wood and Queen’s Park, located in North London have all achieved Green Flag & Green Heritage status, a sign of excellence in providingmaintaining a high quality public Open Spaces.

We wish to appoint a Zoo & Farm Team Leader who will lead the transformation of the Golders Hill Park Zoo, Butterfly House and Queen Park Farm to developform appropriate  sustainable  facilities for present and future generations to enjoy.  The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the welfare of the animal collections in line with the statutory licensing conditions as well as providing a safe and engaging environment for visitors.  They will also be responsible for identifying and securing external funding and wider community involvement.

The successful candidates must have excellent management and interpersonal skills, be enthusiastic, self motivated, and be able to deliver a high standard of customer care to all users.

You will be required to work an average of 37 hours per week, work two weekends in four and some bank holidays to ensure service delivery (for which time off in lieu is given).
