Description  

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who feels passionate about the environment and has the skills to engage with the residents, businesses and visitors of the Borough to encourage a cleaner and safer environment by using relevant environmental legislation.

The role of Waste Crime Officer will need to investigate and deal with a wide range of environmental crime including investigating fly tipping incidents, issuing fixed penalty notices, carrying out checks to ensure businesses deal with their waste correctly and dealing with littering and dog fouling. You will need to demonstrate attention to detail, perseverance and integrity.

You will work within a newly created team dedicated to reduce the amount of waste related crime in the Borough. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to communicate in a professional and considerate manner in such a way to avoid a negative image of the Council.
