Description

Here at Groundwork London we are strong believers in the positive contribution volunteers make in communities. We see the impact of their support every day, because we match volunteers across London with organisations that need their help through our Volunteering Services.

We are looking for someone who shares our belief in the importance of volunteering to play a pivotal role in our team. As a Volunteer Brokerage Coordinator, you will develop, deliver and support the service by recruiting volunteers, signing up organisations, managing customer-facing communication, and handling the administration and organisational activities related to placing volunteers with volunteer-involving organisations.

You will be joining a London-wide team of nine people who deliver Volunteer Services across the London Boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Hounslow, Kingston and the City of Westminster. In this post you will predominately coordinate, deliver, and promote our service in the London Borough of Kingston.

This broad-ranging role will complement your strong commitment to volunteering and your understanding of what Volunteering Services do. A self-starter and an excellent team player, you will be experienced in delivering community and volunteering projects or services, and be able to advise volunteers and volunteer-involving organisations about volunteering opportunities and roles. You will be enthusiastic about developing partnerships with voluntary, public and private sector organisations, and about harnessing Facebook and Twitter to market volunteering opportunities and information.

You will work with team members to deliver training workshops and coordinate small- to medium-sized events to celebrate Volunteers Week and the contribution of volunteers to the community and voluntary sector.

Excellent planning, organisational and prioritising skills are essential for the role, alongside good MS Office knowledge and user skills. Experience in the use of CRM databases such as Volunteer Connect or Do-It will be advantageous.
