Description

Essex Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading conservation charity.  It has more than 38,000 members, manages and protects over 8,400 acres of land on 87 nature reserves and 2 nature parks and runs 11 visitor centres.  The aim of Essex Wildlife Trust is to Protect Wildlife for the Future and for the People of Essex.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced people manager with a proven ability to support, coach and lead by example in a busy, rewarding and demanding environment. You will be enthusiastic and passionate about ensuring the best visitor experience possible is always delivered and be committed to supporting and developing people.  You will be directly responsible for a dedicated team of site managers who are managing multi-disciplinary teams, geographically spread across the county.  This role is busy and offers great variety.  If you believe you share our values of Inspiring, Collaborative, United and Professional and want to make a difference to wildlife across Essex, we’d love to hear from you.

We have opportunities for a permanent role as well as fixed term 12-month maternity cover post.  These roles cover different areas of Essex and the base of work is flexible, but one day per week minimum at our office near Tiptree will be required.  For more details please see the job pack or contact Lisa Smart, Head of Visitor and Commercial Operations, on lisas@essexwt.org.uk for further information.

If you are an enthusiastic and engaging individual with a passion for managing diverse, multidisciplinary teams and work continually to bring the best out in people and services by leading by example, this could be the role for you!

Closing date:             9th October 2019, 9am.

Interview date:          24th October 2019
