IMPORTANT: This Advertiser has requested that applicants MUST be National Residents / Valid Work Permit-holders. Other applicants need not apply.
You have significant project management experience, able to work quickly and efficiently across a portfolio of projects with minimal supervision. You will have a good working knowledge of the Transport planning and policy context that applies in London and a good understanding of best practice in delivering travel demand management initiatives and other transport projects. You will be able to skilfully communicate your knowledge and point of view to colleagues, developers, councillors and the public through written reports and verbal presentations. Above all you will be passionate about working collaboratively as part of an innovative team to develop the highway network in Hounslow to achieve our challenging targets to improve safety and facilitate increases in sustainable travel modes.
In return we offer clear career progression linked to achievement of targets, opportunities for further continuing professional development (the borough is a member of the Transport Planning Society and provides support to those seeking to gain TPP qualification) and first class flexible working opportunities.
For an informal discussion about the post and the team please contact mark.frost@hounslow.gov.uk or call 020 8583 5037.
