The scheme will focus on the importance of the pioneering ironstone and railway heritage around Grosmont, Rosedale and the river Esk. As well as the untold story of industry in the North York Moors, TEL will conserve the rare wildlife, ancient woodlands and hay meadows within this rich landscape. These programmes will be supported by an innovative and exciting access, interpretation and education scheme.
We are about to start on our five year delivery phase and need a skilled natural heritage officer to deliver our natural environment conservation projects.
The successful candidate for this role will need to be able to tell us about their;
*Sound ecological and land management knowledge;
*Experience of working on natural environment conservation projects;
*Track record of successful external fundraising;
*Ability to work as part of a dynamic team;
*Enthusiasm for working with communities, land managers; volunteers and contractors.
The National Park and surrounding area is a first class place to live and work with excellent schools and good access to main transport links. This post will be based at our Headquarters in the attractive market town of Helmsley.
