About the role

CEH’s Business Development function provides a range of business and research support activities across the organisation with the goal of increasing our financial sustainability. CEH’s Tender Support team provides material support on research proposal and tender preparation to improve the quality and outcomes of CEH bids, enable improved marketing capability, and maintain existing, and secure new customer relationships. An experienced Tender Support Executive/Bid Coordinator, who will also manage the day-to-day activities of our Tender Support Team, is being sought to support this ongoing initiative.

As a Tender Support Executive, you will be responsible for tracking opportunities for grants, tenders and proposals from a range of customers across the public, private, third and international sectors and will plan, draft and coordinate responses to bids. You will need to be able to review the customer’s requirements, ensuring CEH is in the best position to be successful.

About you

you will hold a degree in an environmental or business subject and/or a Master’s degree, or the equivalent level of knowledge and proven ability

you will have some bid coordination and management experience in a professional services environment, with proven skills in assessing bid competitiveness and addressing and complying with call-specific information

you will work collaboratively with colleagues and others within and outside the organisation. You will be able to effectively manage your team, customers and partners and gather bid content from a range of stakeholders

strong writing and proof reading skills are vital and expertise with MS Excel, Access and Power BI would be an excellent advantage.
