Greenpeace is an international non-profit global campaigning organisation. Our independence and global reach enables us to stand for positive change through action in order to defend nature and promote peace. We investigate and expose global environmental problems, confront those in positions of power and present alternative solutions.

As one of our online campaigners, you will focus on mobilising support for our campaign work. We need a self-motivated, environmentally minded individual who understands how digital tools can help influence the debate to bring about change. We are looking for someone who can grasp the issues, spot opportunities, and mobilise Greenpeace supporters to intervene in some of the most dynamic and important debates of our time.

In any given week your work will cover a wide range of topics, requiring you to work on one or more of our campaigns – to protect the Arctic, defend our oceans and protect the Earth’s ancient forests and stop climate change.

You’ll be great at spotting opportunities to intervene in the online debate about Greenpeace Campaigns, and be able to translate complex political, scientific and environmental information into succinct and clear messages that successfully reach new and existing supporters. As well as your communication, interpersonal skills and diplomacy, this role will test your ability to organise and improvise. You will need to be equally adept in facing and communicating with openly hostile audiences as with the passionately supportive. You will also have an understanding of the value of investigative work and of the role of mobilising people towards action.

You’ll believe in our aims and have significant and proven voluntary or paid experience in online organising, campaigning or communications. You will contribute to our fast-moving strategic campaign planning and development.
