Perform surface and upper air observations using specialised equipment. Ozone sonde flights are performed on Macquarie Island and at Davis. Perform shipboard observations whilst in transit to and from the stations. Perform observational duties in support of aircraft movements through the stations. Other duties as required, including aerosol sampling observations at, Mawson, Casey and Macquarie Island. Additional allowances of up to $47,593 are paid while in Antarctica. Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for 2010 Antarctic Program of approx. 16 months subject to shipping/air transport availability |
