Summary job description

We are currently recruiting a Technical Advisor for Health-Environment Partnerships, to support the growth and technical excellence of our global health-environment portfolio. This position will provide technical guidance to field-based teams and partners, work with the outreach team to identify new partnership opportunities, build capacity for the delivery of health-environment partnerships and facilitate sharing of best practice across the organisation and beyond. This role will also work with the wider Blue Ventures team to ensure delivery on organisational and grant objectives relating to health-environment partnerships.

We are looking for an individual who has a strong commitment to human rights, experience of working in the health sector in resource poor settings and ideally who has experience working at the intersection of conservation and health (or other multisector programming). You will have a track record of supporting the delivery of high quality field programmes, be able to build relationships with diverse partners, to facilitate groups and coach individuals.

Your ability to see the connections between the different components of our programme, coupled with your commitment to scientific rigour, will ensure that we are measuring our impact to improve our programming and share our learning. Your passion for and understanding of the importance of acting holistically in support of communities, coupled with your excellent (written and verbal) communication skills, will make you a powerful champion of health-environment programming. You will thrive in environments that are fast-paced, collegiate and ambitious, and will be comfortable taking initiative and solving complex problems in challenging situations.

Assessment of applications will include alignment with Blue Ventures’ core values and mission to support rights-based approaches to marine conservation and integrated health-environment programming.

This is a rare opportunity to join our award-winning health-environment (H-E) team at a time of exciting growth across five countries.
