Are you someone who thrives on a challenge? Are you passionate about protecting the heritage and landscape of North Yorkshire?

We are looking for a Team Leader (Planning Services) who has the drive to meet challenges head on, as well as someone who can work successfully with our Stakeholders and Clients. You will act as the Service Specialist in relation to both development management (including being the Service Lead on the most complex, controversial and/or high-profile of applications) and the formulation of minerals and waste planning policy. In addition you will plan and co-ordinate work programmes for staff ensuring effective team working arrangements within Planning Services.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to:

Hold a post-graduate Town Planning qualification

Have attained Charter membership of the RTPI

Significant experience of managing, leading and developing a Team.

The train station is located across from County Hall, just a 2 minute walk will gain you access to the campus. So whether by car or train, our County Hall Offices are in a prime location.
