Crawley leads the way in terms of environmental management, sustainable travel and its carbon reduction programme.
We are ambitious and have a passion for environmental issues, which is key in driving forward innovative ideas, making sure they reach practical project stage in order to champion environmental improvements. To compliment our small team we are seeking to appoint the following:
Sustainable Travel Project Manager 37 hours Per Week
Salary depending on experience: £26,018 - £31,943
You will assist the Environment Manager in delivering the Council’s cutting edge and high quality sustainable travel projects capital programme as part of the Crawley Growth Plan, including £4million in new cycling schemes and £400,000 in new state-of-the-art bus shelters. These measures will be delivered as part of a coordinated package of schemes, intended to significantly increase employment and housing within Crawley.
You will be a motivated, self-starter, who is confident, diplomatic and able to consult, negotiate and able to deliver on time, on budget and to agreed quality. To aid you in your work you will need a relevant qualification or equivalent experience. Experience of delivering sustainable transport projects within a public sector context will be a requirement.
