This role is part time on a job share basis - hours are negotiable.
What you’ll be doing:
As the corporate trailblazer for Sustainability, you’ll support the development of our Climate Emergency Strategy and Action Plan. This will include working collaboratively across all departments in the council, introducing an organisational wide approach to embed climate change implications and other sustainability considerations into our decision-making processes. You’ll engage with colleagues, empowering them to shape and deliver our plans for a Sustainable future. This will include working with other departments and services to create and execute tangible outcomes and plans that align with our plans by identifying key sustainability priorities, setting targets, developing action plans to achieve them.
What you’ll need:
You’ll have a genuine commitment to sustainability with the dedication to really make a difference. You’ll have experience in energy, environment or sustainable development with great leadership and communication skills to engage and inspire others to achieve our sustainable plans. You’ll be able to navigate through challenges and obstacles with determination to finding solutions.
