Crown Worldwide Group currently has an opening for a: Sustainability Co-ordinator.

 

Location: Ardra Road, Edmonton, London, N9 0BD

 

Principle Objective:

 

Crown Workspace are proud of our market leading sustainable and circular workplace services.  With a client base focused on reducing their carbon footprint and a commitment to more responsible and sustainable business models this is a key area for service growth and support.

 

This role will be critical in helping to deliver and support existing sustainable services as well as supporting the development of further sustainable service innovation under the guidance of our Head of Sustainable Development.  A key part of the role will be to build and grow our charitable initiative The Giving Back Project which is a core service offering supporting the reuse and donation our client’s assets.

 

The role also includes supporting the commercial team with our sustainable clearance offering and reporting on social, environmental and economic savings. The successful applicant will also help research and test further reuse options for assets to help build our service portfolio and support the wider implementation of circular and sustainable policies.  The role will be constantly developing as we build on our aspiration and this role will vary from hands on management of reuse and charity partners, through to preparing key research, supporting the commercial team, speaking to clients, and reporting on sustainability achievements.

 

In addition, promote and cross sell other Crown WW service offerings, making key qualified appointments for other sales experts to attend and prospect including Crown Workspace, World Mobility, Crown Fine Art, Crown Relocations.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Managing the Giving Back Project and growing our charity partners across the UK, building up this mainly South East focused initiative to ensure we are able to find good partners for our sustainable clearance projects UK wide.  Liaising with our charity partners, sales and operations teams and capturing the key information for reports.
  • Building up the Giving Back Project identity through more regular communications with our partners with the aim of maximising our ability to redirect redundant assets.
  • Liaising with our marketing team to regularly share “good news” on achievements
  • Researching and identifying additional reuse outlets for redundant IT, furniture, electrical equipment and workplace assets.
  • Client Savings Reports – A core part of our proposition is that clients receive a report at the end of a clearance capturing the environmental, economic and social savings – the person in this role would help produce these reports for project clearances and ongoing for corporate clients
  • Innovating with waste – reviewing the internal waste generated from the Renew Centre, clearance and interiors to seek new reuse/resource opportunities to minimise costs and provide new USPs.
  • Reuse co-ordination - To help provide reuse advice and solutions as part of client’s propositions. This may include carrying out assessment of clients’ workplaces (including pre-refurbishment) to help plan and maximise the reuse of assets, seeking new innovative sustainable options and building up this area of capability. 
  • Sustainable Procurement – help support any sustainable procurement activities across internal operations and client projects to save costs and evidence our leadership in this area.
  • Sustainable development – To support any other sustainable development initiatives, visit clients and projects to guide best practice     and ensure we are delivering against our propositions
  • Supporting Crown Workspace protecting our reputation as market leaders in sustainable workplace moves and changes. Supporting any wider community engagement projects or Crown Worldwide CSR initiatives and ensuring our compliance with legislation always in line with the guidance of our compliance teams. 

 

Skills/ Experience:

 

  • Educated to degree level in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Geography or relevant relatable studies
  • Ideally some experience of working within a sustainability, charity, voluntary or relevant area where you have built on knowledge or passion for the subject
  • Ability to plan, research, co-ordinate and demonstrate confidence in knowledge and understanding of key subject areas.
  • Experience of co-ordinating projects or initiatives where you have worked with a variety of stakeholders and managed the activities and communications
  • Strong written and spreadsheet skills and ability to produce written reports and information for a variety of audiences.
  • Able to demonstrate drive and passion.
  • A particular interest in climate change and / or the circular economy is essential, experience in this field would be an advantage.
