Involved Group is the home of Anjunabeats, Anjunadeep, Involved Management and Involved Publishing and world-leading electronic artists such Above & Beyond, Lane 8, Seven Lions and Ben Böhmer as well a producing global events and festivals.

 

This is an incredible opportunity to work within one of the most respected and successful independent UK record labels and music business operators in the world.

 

Reporting to the Involved Group leadership team, your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Working alongside our partners at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the MIT Environmental Solutions Initiative with their ongoing programme through detailed measurement to help identify practical steps that Involved Group and others in the dance community can make towards reducing their environmental impact.
  • Measuring and presenting all emissions created by the Involved Group operations including its Record Label and Distribution, Events, Music Publishing, and Online Merchandise and Apparel business.
  • Measuring all emissions created at our offices and studios in Bermondsey SE1
  • Creating a strategy to reduce these emissions to zero and setting a workable timeline in which to do this.
  • Where we cannot reduce our carbon footprint to zero, finding the most effective ways of offsetting our carbon emissions.
  • Acting as Involved Group sustainability spokesperson for media, panel discussions and industry events.
  • Collaborate with our Events team to develop and maintain green riders, provide guidance on tour routing, present sustainable options for partners and vendors and general advice for artists to reduce their footprint.
  • Oversee logistics and budgeting for Events on-site data collection.
  • Develop and present community focused initiatives.
  • Ensure Involved Group complies with all current and proposed regulations and are implementing the actions required for compliance.

 

You will need to be:

  • Confident communicating at all levels of the organisation.
  • Able to challenge existing procedures and assumptions in our industry.
  • Passionate and motivational about the difference you could make and motivate the team with the same passion.
  • Able to break down big ideas and actions into achievable, unthreatening actions.

 

Ideally you should have the following:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a sustainability role is desirable, however we will consider applications from post-graduate students who have undertaken relevant studies and demonstrate an exceptional understanding of our brands and industry
  • Experience of working with supply chains with the music industry and live events sector
  • Experience of working on sustainability strategies
  • Previous attendance and involvement in relevant sustainability boards or corporate sustainability would be an advantage.
  • Hold a degree or similar qualification in environmental science, engineering, or social sciences.
