Description

At Natural England, we advise the UK Government on the natural environment. We’re here to make sure people and nature can thrive. From advising farmers on sustainable land management, to gathering and analysing environmental data, and promoting health and wellbeing through the great outdoors, we love what we do. Join us and you’ll be part of an inclusive, motivated and ambitious team, committed to achieving results for our environment, for everyone.

If you want to learn more about sustainable development and nature recovery in England, one of our diverse Support Adviser roles is a great way to start. You’ll provide essential administrative and organisational support to your team, who might be involved in working with landowners and the fishing industry to protect habitats; in developing our wildlife licensing system to ensure valuable species are protected; or perhaps in wider organisational issues such as recruitment or governance. Where appropriate, we can offer training under our apprentice schemes.

We’re looking for people who ideally have some experience of providing advice to customers and working within policy guidelines, and who understand Natural Englands important role.  Well-organised, with good team-working skills, you’ll be capable of meeting targets within a fast-paced environment. You’ll also have strong communication skills, both in person and in writing.

We welcome and encourage applications from all communities and, wherever possible, we accommodate requests for both full and part-time hours and other flexible working patterns. Everyone at Natural England is supported to develop their skills and capabilities. You can also look forward to great benefits including a Civil Service pension.

If you’re inspired to protect and enhance England’s wildlife, and want to work for a leading science-led organisation, apply here.
