Description

Are you passionate about the oceans?

Do you want to work with like-minded others to deliver sustainable seafood to consumers across the globe?

If so, you could be the perfect fit for the Marine Stewardship Council!

We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Standards Manager to join our Supply Chain Standards team. This is an exciting opportunity that will see you work with seafood businesses, governments, and NGOs around the world to ensure traceability and integrity of MSC eco-labelled products.  As a Supply Chain Standards Manager you’ll be integral to ensuring the quality and credibility of the MSC Chain of Custody program through policy development, relationship management, quality assurance and incident management; as well as having an input into the strategic direction of the program.

Who are you?

You’ll:

  • Be qualified to degree level or have equivalent experience in a science (e.g. food science), supply chain management or another relevant discipline;
  • Have experience working in or with food related supply chains (seafood experience desirable but not essential) in a technical, operational or assurance role;
  • Have a good understanding of the risks associated with different elements of food supply (and ideally eco labelling programs) and experience in successfully managing these risks;
  • Be knowledgeable about supply chain traceability and developments in this area.

Who are we?

The MSC’s vision is for the world’s oceans to be teeming with life, and seafood supplies safeguarded for this and future generations. Through our internationally recognised certification and ecolabeling programme well-managed sustainable fisheries are recognised and rewarded in the marketplace through the leadership of our partners.  Critically, other fisheries are incentivised to improve their performance to meet the growing demand for certified sustainable and traceable seafood choice.  Over 400 fisheries around the world, representing 16% of the annual global marine catch, are now engaged in the MSC programme and over 1200 documented improvements to the way our oceans are being fished have been recorded. MSC certified and labelled seafood products are now available in over 100 countries.

Application Process – If interested, please email the following information to Recruitment@msc.org

  • A cover letter outlining how your skills, experience and knowledge directly address the responsibilities and requirements detailed in the job specification, and include information on your salary expectations and right to work information; and
  • A copy of your current CV.

Please ensure that they are sent as Word or PDF documents with the titles “your name cover letter” and “your name CV”.
