We have a number of exciting opportunities for passionate and engaging individuals with the ability to inspire a culture of sustainable travel behaviour in children and young people across South Yorkshire in order to improve health and wellbeing. The post holders will work with the local authorities in the delivery and promotion of active travel to schools as well as providing one to one support for schools and the work they do to promote active, sustainable travel. In addition, the post holders will work across the region to support the delivery of School Travel Plans and schools achieving a level of Modeshift STARS accreditation. A key part of this role will be the provision of hands on support for the promotion of sustainable and active travel specifically related to the Modeshift STARS programme.
We invite applications from candidates with a passion for sustainable transport and physical activity, coupled with excellent communication and presentation skills, experience of delivering practical projects and the enthusiasm to inspire behaviour change. Experience of successful partnership working, organising, promoting and delivering events is required as is excellent administrative and organisational skills.
