Solar PV Construction Manager, Greece

My client is an international manufacturer of solar PV modules and is also heavily active in the commissioning of solar PV (photovoltaic) power plants. They are a multinational company and have seen significant success across European and Middle Eastern markets. Currently, my client is looking for a construction manager to look after multiple projects in Greece.

Position Overview:

This is a key position, overseeing multiple commercial and utility scale PV projects across Italy and is an exceptional opportunity for ambitious project engineers and junior construction managers to take the next step in their career. You will be responsible for the coordination of project engineers and the overall progress of the plant’s development, this will include conducting overseeing technical feasibility studies to reviewing labour costs and productivity.

Requirements:

• Conduct technical pre feasibility studies on photovoltaic projects.
• Performing concept design work on PV projects
• Coordination of project engineers and subcontractors in construction of Solar PV plants
• Participation in EPC contract negotiations regarding solar PV aspects
• Construction site supervision
• Work with general contractors to manage site design
• Liaise with various divisions and teams to prioritize and establish sequence of activities, and to ensure the completion deadlines are met
• Review estimates, engineering design, and documents with estimating team, and distribute bid documents to sub trades and suppliers
• Review labour costs and productivities

Education:

• BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field

Core Responsibilities:

• At least 3 years relevant work experience in the construction industry with a proven track record  of working on commercial and utility scales solar PV projects
• Must have a proven track record in management and coordination of multiple solar PV projects
• Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and detecting realistic solutions
• Good financial management experience

• Must have very good knowledge in AutoCad andusing MS Excel and scheduling software

General Responsibilities:

• Must be willing to work out of Greece

• Will be willing to travel frequently
