Forest Research is looking for a Social Media and Content Manager to bring our science to life and increase the impact of our work.

Forest Research is a leading, internationally recognised, UK scientific research organisation providing impactful scientific data, evidence and advice to policymakers and practitioners.

Forest Research are building a new, dynamic marketing and communications team to engage with our audiences and digital communications are vital to our success. This is a newly created role and would suit a creative individual, passionate about science communication with a keen interest in the environment. You should have significant experience in digital design as well as a sound understanding and experience of social media strategy, planning and analysis. If you love getting behind the scenes to discover the story behind the science, then we want to hear from you!

You will use your creative flair and technical ability to generate engagement with our work through our social media channels. The role is varied, and you will be out and about meeting our scientists to find out about our work. You will develop and manage our social media strategy, content calendar and digital channels; create and edit original, engaging content such as videos, photos, graphics; and provide advice to our scientists on how to use digital channels effectively to support our projects and campaigns.
