Join Britain’s biggest walking charity to help more people enjoy the benefits of walking.  

We are looking for a highly skilled Short group walks communications officer.

This role will support and implement planned and reactive communications for the short group walks programme, playing an important role as the Walking for Health programme integrates fully into the wider Ramblers organisation.

The successful candidate will play a leading role in communicating across a number of channels with a range of stakeholders, including: those involved with the management of local walking schemes; Ramblers groups; volunteers who lead walks; walkers; potential walkers; potential volunteers.

This position is part of the Advocacy and Engagement Division reporting to the Senior PR and Media officer, and will work closely with the short group walks programme team.

Essential Requirements include:
1. Demonstrable experience of writing creative copy and content, both online and off line, whilst adhering to tone of voice and style guidelines.
2. Demonstrable experience of sourcing, and managing production of, a variety of promotional materials.
3. Experience of supporting an organisation’s social media account.
