Description

Join Britain’s biggest walking charity to help everyone, everywhere, enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. The Ramblers is the only charity dedicated to looking after paths and green spaces, leading walks, opening up new places to explore and encouraging everyone to get outside and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness.

The Ramblers Walking for Health programme supports local partners to deliver group walks and has been hugely successful in helping people get and stay active.  The programme has a new funder and is undergoing a significant transformation to make it more effective, integrated with others Ramblers activity, and sustainable.  You will work with colleagues, senior management, partners & stakeholders to help us establish and transition to a sustainable new business model, as well as working with the Senior Deliver Officer to oversee ongoing operations.

This is an exciting time to join the Ramblers team and a great opportunity to make a lasting and tangible impact on the future success of the charity.

Essential requirements include:

  • Substantial experience of change management
  • Recognised qualification in programme management (such as MSP) or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Experience of working with senior managers and funders to evolve an established programme
  • Experience of building and managing partnerships with funders to deliver project or programme objectives, including reporting processes

The ability to work flexibly, to manage several activities at one time, and to resolve conflicting priorities efficiently will be the key to this role.
