Contract: Sessional
Salary: £13.79 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay
Hours: Minimum of two days per week until March 2019, with flexibility on days worked.

Environmental regeneration charity Groundwork London is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Sessional Community Gardener to join our expanding team.

The post holder will work two days per week on the Energy Garden London Overground community garden scheme. The post holder will be responsible for supporting local communities across London to deliver, maintain and develop communal food growing plots, wildlife and biodiversity areas and aesthetic planting schemes across the London Overground Network. The post holder will provide community gardening, horticulture and environmental awareness expertise to the Energy Gardens network and focus on encouraging sustainability and further engagement from new community members and groups.

Excellent communication skills are essential to successfully act as the key contact for Energy Garden groups and deliver varied workshops to individuals of all ages and abilities.

Travel across London and the Overground network will be required so the post holder must be flexible in working in a range of locations. A full driving licence is desirable for this post.

As a Groundwork London Community Gardener you will have the opportunity to support the work of wider Groundwork London projects dependent on personal capacity, skill base and project availability.
