IMPORTANT: This Advertiser has requested that applicants MUST be National Residents / Valid Work Permit-holders. Other applicants need not apply.
You are an experienced and proven project manager, able to work quickly and efficiently across a large portfolio of projects with minimal supervision. You may not be a qualified engineer but you will have an extensive knowledge and involvement in the design and implementation of traffic schemes. You will have expertise in the commissioning and procurement of external resources to design and implement schemes on the highway and an excellent track record in managing contractors to ensure efficient and cost effective progression of projects. You will be responsible for managing a small team of three and will have superb management and motivational skills. Above all you will be passionate about working collaboratively as part of an innovative team to develop the highway network in Hounslow to achieve our challenging targets to improve safety and facilitate increases in sustainable travel modes.
In return we offer clear career progression linked to achievement of targets, opportunities for further continuing professional development (the borough is a member of the Transport Planning Society and provides support to those seeking to gain TPP qualification) and first class flexible working opportunities.
For an informal discussion about the post and the team please contact Christopher.Deakins@hounslow.gov.uk or 020 8583 4866.
