Description

ISEAL is offering an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in sustainability standards or corporate sustainability programmes.  The role is well-suited to an experienced project coordinator, who enjoys keeping on top of many different project activities, while gaining a great insight into developments and trends in sustainability innovation.

ISEAL supports sustainability standards and similar market-based sustainability systems to improve their impacts on people and planet. ISEAL’s Credibility Principles and Codes of Good Practice are used globally to guide the development of credible sustainability systems and to evaluate the credibility of sustainability claims.

The Senior Coordinator will support two aspects of an Innovations Programme designed to promote cutting edge developments in sustainability systems: the ISEAL Innovations Fund and sustainable landscapes workstream.

The role will be a core member of these two project teams.  The position will oversee day-to-day coordination for the grants portfolio of the Innovations Fund, which enables ISEAL members to test innovations to drive efficiency and effectiveness or deepen impacts on specific sustainability challenges. This position will play a key role in extracting and sharing learning from grantees with the ISEAL community, maintaining close communications with grant recipients and internal colleagues.

The Senior Coordinator will also support project management and communications on ISEAL´s sustainable landscapes workstream, as well as providing research and analysis, and producing documentation of emerging good practice for landscape and jurisdictional sustainability initiatives. The role will also help facilitate peer-to-peer learning between organisations working on this topic.

To be considered for the role, you have a good level of experience in supporting the management of multiple projects with an ability to keep on top of concurrent project activities and competing deadlines. You are interested in applying your strong analytical skills to gain a deep understanding of how sustainability systems work and can improve, to extract key insights from projects and produce high quality written work. A strong communicator, you can demonstrate good relationship management and stakeholder engagement experience. You relish the opportunity to learn more about cutting edge approaches to sustainability, such as landscape approaches.

ISEAL proudly offers a supportive organisational culture and creates opportunities for ISEAL staff to develop professionally and personally in a busy international NGO environment.
