Description

Are you ready to take a share in a developing consultancy business? Are you a senior or principal drainage consultant/engineer that’s looking for a new challenge?

Peak Associates Environmental Consultants provides a wide range of services, including sewage treatment design, flood risk assessments and SuDS design. Due to expanding workloads an opportunity has arisen within the Company for a Drainage/ engineering position to join, lead and develop our multifunctional drainage team at our Warrington office.

We are keen to hear from individuals with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the environmental sector. Technical leadership will be critical in this post and the successful candidate will need to have practical experience in at least 3-4 of the following areas:

Drainage experience, including the conceptual and detailed design of simple conventional private foul and surface water systems;

  • Experience in developing conceptual and design level sustainable drainage schemes (SuDS);
  • Experience with assessing loads and designing small sewage treatment plants, septic tanks and sewage works;
  • Experience with investigating strength and load studies for trade effluents;
  • Core project management skills, including budget control, the ability to manage staff and external contractors/ clients;
  • CDM experience would be desirable but not essential.

We would expect the successful candidate to be proficient in writing technical reports, including the ability to accurately interpret data and produce specifications. We are therefore looking to hear from an experienced senior consultant who is ready for the next step up, or a principal consultant who wants to grow and lead their own business.

We would also welcome applications from candidates in the regulatory or public sector.

The successful candidate will also need to have experience in leading a small team or want to step into such a role.

Candidates should have a good first degree in a relevant subject, ideally environmental science, civil engineering, or geography. An MSc in a related field would also be a distinct advantage. Applicants must also hold a full driving licence as travel around the UK will be essential.

Salary is negotiable for the right candidate and an option of a share buy in scheme will be offered to the successful candidate. The benefits package will therefore be paid in both salary and dividends from profits. As a guide the basic salary without share benefits will be circa £35,000.
