We're recruiting for an ambitious and experienced Senior Fundraising
Manager to join our team in London.
Who we are
The Gorilla Organization works at the very forefront of gorilla conservation with
innovative and award-winning projects in Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic
Republic of Congo. Its field staff in Africa, supported by a fundraising and
communications team in London, oversee a range of grassroots conservation
projects, all of them aimed at addressing the key threats facing gorillas today.
The role
• Working within a small team, including external suppliers, to generate income
from a portfolio of fundraising activities and campaigns, to deliver or exceed
annual income targets, including from individual giving, grants, major donors
and corporate partnerships
• Innovate and take advantage of new opportunities including online and digital
• Participate in cultivation and fundraising events
• Provide audience analysis and insight to improve recruitment of new
audiences, retention of existing supporters and improvement to
supporter life time value.
• Understand and propose developments for product offerings for specific
audience groups
• Review and develop through analysis, challenge, improvement and
innovation of fundraising activities to ensure they meet the needs of
supporters, fundraisers and donors
• Using project planning to report on progress of activities against their plans,
highlighting any new and emerging risks and contingency plans
• Manage donors and activities using Raisers Edge
• Deputise for the CEO in fundraising and management when necessary.
• Applicant ideally would already have been a Fundraising Manager.
• Hours are 9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
Who we seek
We are seeking a creative communicator and an experienced Fundraising
Manager. You’ll have the skills for those persuasive fundraising asks and the
expertise to create, manage and deliver an ambitious strategy to maximise
income for the Charity's projects.
