Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic leader with expertise in global biodiversity policies and practice to provide oversight and coordination of fundraising, partnerships and communications efforts in the European Union. You will play a key role in external engagement with a particular emphasis on client care, new partnership development, diversification of income streams and unlocking access to additional financial resources.

This is an opportunity to nurture existing and build new relationships with partner organisations and funders. You will improve the visibility of UNEP-WCMC within Europe to maximise our impact, working in collaboration with UNEP-WCMC colleagues and partner organisations.

Working from Brussels, you will provide an operational link to the WCMC non-profit entity being established in Belgium, whilst at the same time maintaining close and effective relationships with the UNEP-WCMC Leadership Team (based in Cambridge). You will participate in the Centre’s strategic planning.

If you are looking for a rewarding and challenging post where you can impress us with your leadership, drive and impact, we want to hear from you.  To apply, please send your CV and a short covering letter to recruitment@unep-wcmc.org by 23rd October 2019.

Please note that this is not a UN post.

The UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC) is a global Centre of excellence on biodiversity. The Centre operates as a collaboration between UN Environment Programme and the UK registered charity WCMC.  Together, we are confronting the global crisis facing nature. We do this through our unique position ensuring science, knowledge and insights shape global and national policy, and by collaborating with partners around the world to build capacity and create innovative solutions to environmental challenges. We use our position as respected custodians of powerful and trusted environmental data to create positive impact for people and nature.
