Senior Ecologist

DCE Ltd is a small, busy, well-established ecological consultancy based near Cardiff, offering a wide range of habitat and protected species services in Wales in a flexible and friendly working environment.  We are currently seeking one or more Senior Ecologists, preferably with a minimum of 4 years' professional experience, and capable of managing projects without day-to-day supervision.  Salary will be dependent on experience and capabilities.  Current driving licence licence and own car are essential, as is the ability to undertake sometimes physically demanding fieldwork.  Excellent field skills including botany are required for senior posts.  There will be some out-of-hours working during the field season, for which TOIL is provided.  The posts are notionally office-based although home-working is permitted, but applicants will need to be based locally.  Applications at more junior levels are also invited in the salary range £18-25K, depending on experience, capabilities and recruitment grade.
