Description

Field Studies Council is one of the UK’s leading providers of outdoor environmental education. This is a great opportunity to join the Field Studies Council (FSC).

This exciting role will organise environmental engagement courses across the UK, including managing learner bookings.

The scope is hundreds of online and place-based training courses for adults and young people.  This includes support for learners and links to partner organisations and FSC Publications. Our learners will earn recognition and accreditation and take on personal and professional roles that benefit themselves and the natural environment.

You will work with engagement/training officers and manage a team of course co-ordinators at our national charity, and you will organise courses, including liaison with venues and tutors, and manage learner bookings and mentors. They will also achieve accurate records and help present FSC’s impact.

The successful candidate will have excellent evidence of success with organising a portfolio of engagement and training courses and managing related customer journeys.

The successful candidate will also have experience of collaborative working, team management and using databases. And ideally, demonstrable enthusiasm for environmental education.

The Field Studies Council follows a recruitment and selection process that is applied fairly, consistently, and without favour or prejudice, and which promotes a working environment in which diversity is recognised, valued and encouraged.

They want to create a world where everyone feels connected to the environment, so that they can enjoy the benefits it gives and makes choices that help protect it – especially now when our planet is facing issues such as climate change and loss of biodiversity.

As an Investors in People charity, they realise that to achieve their vision they need diverse teams of staff who have a wide range of skills, a real passion for the work of the charity and a pride in their role within it. No matter what role you perform, everyone can make a difference and every role is vital to delivering their mission and vision…if this inspires you, they would love to hear from you.

Closing date: 12 noon on Tuesday 5th January 2021.

Interviews are planned for the second and third week of January 2021 (virtual likely), with shortlisted applicants being contacted by telephone and/or email.
