Our work portfolio includes: Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and other support for HS2, Transport for the North and Transport for London; iconic large scale property developments and urban regeneration schemes (such as Barking Riverside and Bishopsgate Goodsyard in London); support to construction of the Northern Line Extension, HS2 and Euston Station. We carry out a wide range of bespoke planning and environmental assessments – everything from air quality monitoring, Environmental Statement reviews, through to expert witness support in relation to aviation noise. 

We are seeking energetic, enthusiastic and experienced consultants across a range of grades to work within our Environmental Impact Assessment Infrastructure team, delivering and managing projects and helping to grow our business in this area as well as to further build Temple’

?The Roles 

The positions are for enthusiastic and motivated Consultants, Seniors and Principals who will be part of our EIA teams, with specialisms in infrastructure and/or property EIA. 

Applicants need to be client focused with a positive and proactive attitude, excellent communication skills and happy to work as part of a team. 

All roles will work closely with our internal teams (including Acoustics, Air Quality, Digital Delivery, Ecology and Construction Environmental Management) and a wide range of external partners, to deliver across a range of projects. 

For Consultant roles, responsibilities will include the co-ordination and preparation of a variety of EIA projects including preparation of environmental baselines, scoping and feasibility studies, contributions to environmental appraisals, management of the review process, inputs to tenders for projects across a range of scales and support for the preparation of fee proposals. 

For the Senior and Principal roles, the successful candidate(s) will be expected to have a thorough knowledge of EIA, including guidelines and the planning process and a proven track record of managing and leading multidisciplinary teams for EIA, on time and on budget. 

They will also be expected to have excellent project management, report writing and client liaison skills with a keen eye for detail and a positive attitude towards business development. 

Principals will be expected to lead or contribute to bids for projects of all scales. Their role within project delivery may be as project director, project manager, framework manager and/or technical lead. They would also be expected to assist with the training / mentoring of junior members of the team. 

?The Candidates 

We expect the successful Consultant and Senior candidates will: 

  • have 2-5+ years of consulting experience depending on the grade (client-facing experience desirable) 
  • have project delivery experience with a strong work ethic, able to be organised, flexible and motivated 
  • demonstratable experience contributing to, and for seniors, managing the delivery of, EIA projects
  • be confident, show initiative, be enthusiastic and outgoing with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, having the ability to liaise at all levels 
  • be degree educated

??We expect the successful Principal candidates will: 

  • have a track record of delivering successfully to clients in transport infrastructure
  • an active network of contacts in transport, infrastructure and/or property sectors
  • have project management and people management experience 
  • have excellent report writing skills 
  • be confidence, with excellent communication skills, and be client focussed 
  • bring energy and enthusiasm, with attention to detail and a creative approach to problem solving 

?Experience of any of the following would be useful depending on the grade: 

  • project management experience or relevant qualifications such as APM etc 
  • a specialist in one or more of the traditional EIA disciplines, planning or sustainability 
  • awareness and understanding of environmental management plans/CoCPs (or equivalent) to support construction property development projects 
  • Project management qualifications such as APM, Prince 2 etc
  • Experience of work on major infrastructure projects and programmes.
