Essex Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading conservation charity.  It has more than 37,000 members, manages and protects over 8,400 acres of land on 87 nature reserves and 2 nature parks and runs 11 visitor centres.  The aim of Essex Wildlife Trust is to Protect Wildlife for the Future and for the People of Essex.  It is one of the largest of the 46 county wildlife trusts that work together throughout the British Isles as The Wildlife Trusts.

We have an exciting opportunity at Thurrock Thameside Nature Park Centre for a Senior Catering Assistant. The successful applicant will work 37.5 hours per week across 7 days.

Responsibilities include:

•          Delivering a high-quality catering experience at our visitor centre. We want to provide our customers with a good value and great quality coffee shop style menu of hot and cold refreshments. They should be able to enjoy a simple and wholesome offer of breakfasts, soups, jacket potatoes, savouries, sandwiches and cakes.

•          Ensuring the highest standards of food hygiene and safety are maintained at all times

•          Supervising staff and volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the catering offer
