The Senior Assurance and Training Manager works within the S&S department’s Standards Governance team and will contribute to the credibility and rigour of the MSC programme, guided by its new 2017-2020 Integrated Strategic Plan. The post will lead a three-year due diligence review of the MSC’s assurance model to ensure it is consistent with global best practice. It will also ensure that the MSC remains compliant with the ISEAL Assurance Code and other global benchmarks, and lead the interactions with the MSC’s accreditation body, Accreditation Services International (ASI).
Supporting these assurance roles, the post will provide strategic direction to the training of Conformity Assessment Bodies (CAB’s) and others involved in the assessment process (e.g. Expert Teams, Peer Reviewers), to ensure that these groups have the understanding and skills necessary to carry out consistent, impartial and reliable assessments against the MSC standards.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in assurance and training, knowledge of international standards and benchmarks, and the gravitas and confidence needed to support the MSC to achieve its mission. Detailed skills and experience requirements are outlined in the job description.
