Seasonal Grounds Operative, Site Presentation and Cleaning (Full-Time / 6 Months Fixed-Term Contract)

We are looking for seasonal grounds operatives to come and join our team who are responsible for keeping the London Zoo grounds clean, tidy and the site presentable for our visitors. The successful candidates will be also be required to interact with visitors by answering questions whilst promoting high levels of customer care.

• Drive utility vehicles, cars and vans sometimes off site.
• Interact with visitors by answering questions whilst promoting high levels of customer care.
• Carry out some lifting, as there is potentially a large amount of manual handling required.
• Help keep waste bags, site signage, picnic benches are clean and tidy at all times.

The successful candidate will have:

• Have the ability to work well as part of a team
• Experience of dealing with the public would be useful. 
• A good level of fitness is required as the nature of the job is outdoors and involves some heavy lifting. 
• A full driver’s license is essential as you may sometimes be agreed to drive utility vehicles.

We have three full-time, seasonal position available until from late March until September. The full-time roster will be based on a shift system rota and will include working weekends.
