Our work placement opportunities put you alongside our busy team, to learn quickly and start helping out straight away.

Our team of 10 fulltime marine biologists are working hard from 9 to 5 every day of the week …
... on the beach, in the lagoon and under the waves.

Interested in marine conservation?
Come and work with our like-minded marine biology professionals, propagating coral reefs and caring for injured sea turtles.

Are you a marine biology or environmental science graduate?
Take advantage of our facilities to apply and develop your scientific knowledge in practical and beneficial ways.

Looking for Diving & Dive training in the Maldives?
We can offer PADI training courses combined with marine conservation, in a unique live-aboard setting.

Marine Discovery Centre or Live-aboard Programme? You decide!
Choose between our 2 Volunteer Programmes – resort-based at our Centre, or onboard for extensive dive training.

 

Marine Discovery Centre

 

 

 

 

Work at our Centre, with homestay accommodation
Resort-based and professional, working in the lagoon and our Marine Discovery Centre.
Accommodation is on a nearby local island in a Homestay or Guest House.

Open to good swimmers & snorkellers (diving optional)
You need to be a confident swimmer in both shallow lagoons and the open ocean,
but dive skills are optional when Volunteering at our Marine Discovery Centre.

Positions are available all year round
You are welcome to come and join us whenever best fits your schedule –
the life of a resort marine biologist is a busy one throughout the year.

Good exposure to our range of marine biology work
Much of the work will be our Reefscapers coral programme,
plus you will gain experience in everything from our Fish Lab and Turtle Rescue to guest excursions.

Live onboard our safari boat
We are anchored at a remote deserted island where you will live, work and train for the duration of your stay.
Operating : 13th July to 5th October 2015.

Dive training available for beginners and upwards
Diving is essential – either join as a beginner and we will train you up,
or you can take further PADI courses to improve your skills.

Daily dives and marine conservation work
There will be a busy schedule of daily dives for training courses and marine conservation,
plus a range of eco and leisure activities on land & sea.

Relaxed setting and flexible schedule - everyone welcome !
You can choose to sleep on deck under the stars, dress in swimwear all day and then catch some rays.
Plus grow that Robinson Crusoe beard you’ve always wanted !
