Intern Position at Seamarc Pvt Ltd

We are currently looking for an intern (M/F) at our Marine Discovery Centre at Landaa Giraavaru.

• Start date: 16 of June 2015
• Length: 10 weeks minimum

Your Role at the Marine Discovery Centre:

During your stay with us you will assist our staff in all our different projects which are:

-          The Coral Propagation Program,

-          The Turtle Rehabilitation Centre,

-          The Fish Hatchery ,

-          The daily excursions with resorts guests,

To complete with success your working days with us you will have to:

-          Be particularly interested in Marine Life and the desire to preserve and protect it,

-          Be a very good swimmer, have experience of the Ocean, a certification as SCUBA Diver is highly recommend,

-          Be physically fit to participate in our excursions activities, stay long hours in water to perform coral transplantation or conduct turtle monitoring,

-          Be able to carry 20kg object or animal,

Intern Profile:

Being a current student of one of the following topics: Marine Biology, Marine Environment, Aquaculture or Animal Care.

This internship must be as part of the studies under the supervision of a tutor at your School or University, which means that you will work on a specific topic that we would have decided together in relation with one of our various projects here on site.

A report of your project will be presented to our team before the end of your stay.

No salary is given during this internship and your flight ticket to Male is at your own cost.

All the following are included in the Intern Package:

-          Seaplane transfers to the resort from Male

-          Shared accommodation with AC in room with 4/5 beds, same sex

-          3 meals per day + tea breaks

-          Working hours from 9:00 to 18:00

-          1 day off per week

-          Uniform provided (no charge)

-          Complementary excursions during days off

-          VISA arrange on arrival for all the duration of you stay
