Description

Groundwork London is a community charity with a green heart that has been at the forefront of social and environmental regeneration in London for over 20 years. Each year we deliver hundreds of innovative environmental and social action projects across the capital. Our projects change places and lives for the better in some of London’s most deprived and disadvantaged neighbourhoods. This includes working with communities to make their neighbourhoods greener and more resilient to climate change, supporting long-term unemployed individuals to find work, helping young people get back into education and training and advising residents how to save money on their energy and water needs

The Nest is Groundwork London’s mental wellbeing support service for young people aged 11 – 25 and living in the London Borough of Southwark. Since launching as a remote service in May of 2020, right in the middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic, The Nest has gone from strength to strength and we are looking for passionate, experienced, skilled and empathetic individuals to join the team as we get ready to increase its mental health provision for schools.

The School Wellbeing Team Manager will be a qualified therapist with substantial post-qualifying experience, a good knowledge of the school environment and a proven track record of managing teams of practitioners to deliver interventions of the highest quality for young people. You will feel comfortable mobilising new projects, working to tight deadlines and networking/building relationships with teachers and other appropriate school staff.

Most important of all will be your approach: we’re an exciting, fast-paced and ever-growing service at the forefront of early intervention mental health support for young people in Southwark, so we’re looking for people with the ambition and commitment to match our own.

Interview date: 15th of September(interview will be conducted remotely)
