As a Regional Contract Manager in the Integrated Solutions team at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

 

SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK’s Integrated Solutions (IS) gives clients access to the ideal mix of our waste and recycling services. Your challenge will be to plan, direct and co-ordinate the service delivery and operations at the customers’ sites. 

Using sound strategies to boost performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability, you’ll be in charge of managing resources (people, equipment and service providers) to meet service targets. Reviewing performance and ensuring that KPI’ and SLA’s are met and exceeded to provide maximum customer satisfaction will be key to the success of this role. Best practice will be a priority, so we’ll also expect you to contribute to the continuous improvement of IS processes and policies in line with our overall strategy.

Key responsibilities will be:-

People

Oversee service delivery and operations at our customer sites.

Manage human resources to meet service targets.

Monitor and review the performance of site based staff.

Manage training needs for site based teams ensuring all staff are adequately trained for individual roles.

Best Practice Implementation

Review equipment resources required, making decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement.

Ensure the implementation of IS standard operating procedures and site specific instructions for site operations.

Ensure the implementation and adherence to customer and SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK’s health and safety policies and procedures.

Set service quality standards for site operations.

Monitor quality standards of SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK’s service in line with contract KPIs and SOPs.

Analyse quality control (KPIs) to detect and correct problems.

Determine and implement improvements to the process.

Prepare and maintain monthly performance delivery reports.

Stakeholder Management

Manage customer interface acting as the SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK point of contact for client stakeholder discussions.

Plan and support contract negotiations/re-negotiations.

Engage in customer feedback to ensure service offerings are relevant to customer’s expectations.

Promote a culture of right first time to give the customer the best possible customer experience.

Commercial

Liaising with administration staff, prepare monthly financial statements to assess contract’s commercial performance.

Gap Analysis to determine deviation and root cause, recommending and instigating remedial action if required.

Use financial data to support SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK and client decision making; Through support from IS Regional Operations’ Manager and senior management team prepare and control operational budgets.

Ideally candidates will have a formal H&S qualification – preferably Nebosh qualified with a sound knowledge and experience in organisation effectiveness and operations’ management this may not necessarily have been gained in the waste and recycling industry.

With measurable experience of operations management and experience in delivering safe and compliant operations.

Demonstrable application of applying Lean, Total Quality Management systems and principles to improve operational effectiveness.

Knowledge and experience of contract negotiations and managing customer interface.

Experience of managing teams to deliver operational key performance indicators and service levels will be key to the success of this role.
