Project Manager - Environmental

The role you are applying for as Project Manager will be joining a team of hardworking, motivated and passionate people to deliver major environmental projects across a variety of habitats in the UK. 

 

You will be a part of our Construction team delivering a variety of environmental enhancement projects including, river restoration, fish passage, ecological mitigation and wetland creation works from concept through to implementation. 

 

As a design and build company, one of the exciting aspects of any role at FiveRivers is seeing these schemes run from concept on the drawing board right through to implementation, adding value and innovation throughout. 

 

The role

As a FiveRivers Project Manager you will ensure projects are delivered to program and budget, and ready to handover to either the client or our internal ‘Habitats’ delivery team. 

 

You will work closely with our environmental consultants, geomorphologists and engineers on schemes as well as colleagues in our Habitats and Monitoring business areas.  

 

You will be key point of contact with our clients ranging from water companies to rivers trusts using your experience in building strong trust-based relationships.  

 

You’ll be responsible for the successful execution of NEC, ECSC and PSC contracts, including control of change events and cost control.

Person specification

  • You will have experience in managing complex environmental design or delivery schemes 
  • You will have proven project management in a similar industry delivering schemes under NEC contracts with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • You will have proven communication and negotiating skills
  • You will have excellent IT skills
  • You will have a strong commercial awareness
  • You should be able to adapt and respond to changing situations. Have the ability to learn quickly and have a high level of self-motivation and drive, and be capable of motivating others

 

Requirements

  • Will hold a relevant qualification at BSc level or higher, and have chartership or working towards accreditation
  • Will have five years industry experience in project managing projects in similar role or field
  • Experience of delivering on budget and high client satisfaction
  • Experience in managing and motivating collaborative teams 
  • Drivers license and ability to travel as required UK wide

 

Salary and benefits

  • £40,000 - £60,000 per annum DOE
