Description

The Bumblebee Conservation Trust (BBCT) is looking for a full-time Project Finance Officer on a fixed term contract until the end of October 2020. Your primary role will be to assist with the management of the financial activities for our HLF funded ‘Pollinating the Peak’ project and to assist with the day-to-day management of the Trust’s financial activities in terms of restricted funds. In addition, you will provide financial information on restricted funds, advice and support to project staff and external stakeholders.

The role of the Finance Team is crucial in ensuring that BBCT is sustainable, fit for purpose, and able to respond quickly to challenges and change.

As Project Finance Officer, you will be part-qualified as an Accounting Technician or equivalent (or with relevant experience).  Experience in working within a financial setting in a charity/not for profit sector and of financial reporting to Funders would be highly advantageous.

A good communicator and team-worker, you will have the ability to interpret and convey financial and grant information to non-finance members of staff. You will have the ability to deal with confidential and complex financial information, have attention to detail and be able to work to strict deadlines.

With excellent IT skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, experience with Sage Accounts software would be highly advantageous.

Please refer to the job description and person specification for more details of the role.

This is a full-time, fixed term until 31 October 2020 position based at BBCT’s offices in Stirling. The closing date is 12 pm on Friday 6th April 2018.
