These roles will be a core part of the SERT team designing river and catchment restoration across the South East and make a real difference on the ground.

The South East Rivers Trust is an environmental charity dedicated to achieving healthy river ecosystems, for all, across the South East of England. The Trust is a part of the national Rivers Trust movement which is described as having ‘wet feet’ because it concentrates its efforts on practical improvement works on the ground. The Trust’s core values are central to all it strives to achieve, including bringing positive energy, expertise and specialist knowledge to develop good relationships and deliver to a high standard to make a real difference on the ground.

The Trust is looking for a Project Development Officer and/or Team Manager to join its expanding team.

Working collaboratively alongside other SERT staff, project partners, landowners and stakeholders, you will develop best practice solutions to make a real difference to the river catchments in South London and the South East. The role will involve developing up the detailed design of river and catchment restoration projects, primarily using nature-based solutions, so that they are ready for delivery by Trust staff, partners or contractors.

The Trust is offering this role at both manager and officer level. The management level will additionally contribute to overseeing and facilitating the work of colleagues and building teams so that the Trust delivers most effectively.
