Description  

NEA, the national energy efficiency and fuel poverty charity, is currently recruiting for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated Project Development Co-ordinator to assist the charity to deliver innovative projects to tackle fuel poverty.  Working in partnership with central and local government, fuel utilities, the health sector, consumer groups and NGOs, NEA aims to eradicate fuel poverty and promote energy efficiency to low-income and other vulnerable households.

The post holder will also be responsible for the delivery of a range of projects which will demonstrate good practice in delivery of affordable warmth for low income and vulnerable householders. This will require an understanding of the development of partnership working with local authorities, housing providers, energy sector partners and community sector or health sector agencies. The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of project outputs and outcomes, for the preparation of reports to funders including collation of evidence of outcomes achieved. Post holders will need good organisational skills, excellent written and communication skills as well as an understanding of energy efficiency and the needs of low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders.  Post holders will also be involved in assisting with the identification of opportunities for new project activity. There is an expectation that delivery of project activity will require periodic travel throughout England and occasionally to our offices in Newcastle. This post will report into the Project Development Manager who is based in NEA’s Macclesfield office.

This post will be based in NEA’s London office, CAN Mezzanine, 49-51 East Road, Old Street, London N1 6AH.
