Description  

This role reports directly to the Project Manager who has responsibility for the delivery of construction related projects across the NOC Estate to an approximate value of greater than £2m per year. 

You will assist with the day-to-day management of project works onsite including tendering, appointment and programming of works for all new projects. You will be responsible for site supervision, risk assessments, audits, project documentation and tracking, overseeing contractor works and undertaking Health and Safety inspections to ensure successful project completion in accordance with relevant industry regulations and NOC policies and procedures. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a professional and customer focused approach at all times. In this role, you will also assist in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, as required.

This is a permanent position offered on NERC terms and conditions and is open to internal and external candidates.

Salary:

This is a Band 7 position and the starting salary will be £22,224 per annum. Depending upon skills and experience, a salary uplift and/or additional allowances may be available for exceptional candidates.

Hours of Work: 

The hours of working are full time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

About you:

You will be educated to higher technical building level (e.g. HBTEC or HNC) and/or offer comparable employment experience. An IPAF Licence and Construction Skills Certification Scheme certified qualification would be desirable.

This position is ideally suited to someone looking to progress professionally within a project management/project supervision role, who can offer relevant project and construction management knowledge and experience. You will be solutions focused and able to resolve technical issues. You will demonstrate a reliable and flexible approach and be willing to undertake training as required. You will possess good team working and interpersonal skills as well as excellent communication and IT skills. In addition, you will be well organised with good administration skills and excellent attention to detail and be able to cope with varying daily workloads.
