Groundwork London is a leading social and environmental regeneration charity. We deliver over 500 projects each year aimed at: supporting people to stay in education, gain new skills and secure employment; reducing our environmental impact through energy efficiency, waste minimisation, reuse and recycling; and engaging communities and enterprises in improving their environment.

Hours:                         3 days per week for a period of 6 months

Role Description

Groundwork London is currently looking for a dedicated Project Assistant Trainee to support the East London Community & Schools Team with Our Bright Future, a food waste and eco school project.  The role will support the Senior Education Officer and Project Officer delivering the project in schools. The role assists the project workshop deliverer in schools, and supports in the preparation of learning and delivery materials for the sessions, and helps with undertaking and analysing school surveys.

 The successful candidate:

  • Must be aged between 16 – 24 years
  • Must not be in current education, training or employment
  • Should be available 3 days a week for a 6 month period, starting late September
  • Should have basic knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel
