Project Administrator – People, Ponds and Water Project

We are seeking a project administrator to support the National Coordinator deliver the project’s biodiversity and people-based targets. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years previous experience of administration, preferably in the charity sector, excellent administration and organisational skills, be computer literate (Word, Excel, database management, website tools) and have an interest in wildlife conservation.

We are recruiting this post for a major three-year project supported by Heritage Lottery Fund.  ’People, Ponds and Water’ will work with thousands of people to make a national difference to freshwater biodiversity, and has three elements:

• PondNet: a new national freshwater network to collect essential monitoring information on endangered freshwater species,
• Flagship Ponds: supporting local communities to manage the most important pond sites in England and Wales and undertake citizen science projects,
• Clean Water for Wildlife: providing people with nutrient kits to investigate pollutant levels in streams, ponds and other waterbodies: raising awareness of the importance of water quality for protecting biodiversity.
