We are looking for an inspirational educator to join our learning team and deliver our primary schools service at Hampstead Heath.

As the Primary Schools Officer, you will develop and deliver our popular National Curriculum linked learning sessions for primary school students, which aim to increase children’s connection to the local green spaces. The sessions facilitate learning through active engagement with our outdoor spaces and provide opportunities to explore, have fun, be creative, and apply classroom learning in a new context.  Your role will include leading on all aspects of the primary schools programme including developing lesson plans, resourcing, marketing, delivering and administrating the programme. You will also lead a team of freelance Education Rangers to support your work.

You will need to be an effective and positive communicator with experience leading education sessions, preferably in the environmental sector. You should also have experience working with the UK National Curriculum to develop outstanding learning experiences.

As the Primary Schools Officer, you will be a part of the department’s learning team developing learning opportunities across the City of London’s green spaces. You will lead on shaping the primary learning programme. You will also work alongside the Learning Manager and Head of Learning on department-wide projects such as new ways of evaluating the impact of our learning sessions.
