Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to help engage more volunteers within CRT. The Practical Task Lead Volunteer placement will involve working alongside staff in our volunteering teams to assist in preparing, promoting, leading, delivering, evaluating and celebrating volunteering tasks and individual volunteers in your local area.

Following a 3 day residential induction with the rest of the placement team we provide the opportunity to gain experience or put your skills into practice to ensure the smooth day to day running of volunteer activities in your area and that our volunteers have the best experience possible, so that they return, and become our champions in their local community.

This is a responsible role with a lot to offer the right person, as such an appropriate selection process is in place.

Through regular training opportunities you will gain a strong set of transferable skills and experience, ideal for those looking to gain practical work experience and increase employability, or others keen to put existing skills to good use and pass on the benefits active volunteering can bring to others.

You will get to explore your local waterways and meet lots of new people from a wide range of backgrounds.

In order for you to achieve the maximum benefit this opportunity has to offer we hope you can commit to 2 days or more for a period of 6 months – a year. As the role will involve frequent travel to a range of sites within your coverage area a driving license is desirable, as is the ability to travel to and from your chosen base location on a regular basis.  All appropriate equipment and clothing will be provided, as will out of pocket expenses.

Locations the placement can run from are; Burnley or Wigan, Northwich, Leeds, Stoke-on-Trent, Rochdale, Newark, Tamworth (Fazeley), Gloucester Docks, Milton Keynes, Little Venice or Enfield.

Placement commences 15th April.
