Description |

Do you want to influence the UK’s low carbon transition? We are looking for a policy adviser in our Low Carbon Future theme to help shape our response to the main climate and decarbonisation challenges facing the UK. You will be a strong researcher and communicator who can get to grips with complex climate and decarbonisation policy debates and produce incisive, punchy information for UK policy makers. As well as enjoying the detail, you will need an understanding of the bigger picture around the UK climate policy and legal targets, and the policy landscape for businesses and politicians on this agenda. Ideally you will have specific expertise in built environment, local authorities or energy sector. You might have experience as a journalist or policy researcher, but you will need to be a self starter who enjoys synthesising evidence and framing powerful, influential messages to effect change. You will also have the ability to network and build relationships with politicians, environmental NGOs and other stakeholders, to secure support for projects and policy proposals. This role includes tracking project delivery, including ensuring outputs and events are effectively planned and executed to deadline. Please see the job pack for more details and how to apply. See application form. Deadline: Monday 27 September
