Norwich City Council has one of the highest performing Planning services in the country and we now have an exciting opportunity for a career graded planner to join the development management service.

The City is a thriving and dynamic place to both live and work and offers a real range of planning challenges as we prepare for very significant levels of growth within the context of a historic city with a legacy of fine buildings and 17 conservation areas.

As a career graded planner you will hold a degree in planning or related specialism and have an appreciation of spatial planning legislation in order to manage a caseload of development proposals, planning applications and appeals relating to a range of development types.

This role would suit recent graduates or those working towards planning qualifications. Support for professional training will be available and there will also be scope for working in our planning policy team. A willingness to learn and being passionate about making Norwich an even better place to live and work is a must.
