Description

The Peatland Action Project Manager will lead and manage tasks and people to deliver Peatland ACTION Programme requirements, managing data and evidence that will support the government ambition for peatland restoration.

The post is one of a team of six managers supporting the Programme Manager in providing strategic direction, tactical guidance, and operational management in rapid expansion of peatland restoration. You will be involved in project governance, resource planning and management, and will have a key role in liaising with and reporting to the NatureScot Programme Board and the Scottish Government’s new governance arrangements.

The post covers the whole of Scotland and will require the ability to travel independently, as public transport is not always available, and sites are remote. On occasions, this will require travel that necessitates nights away from home.
